October 28, 2020
Dear Bethel Grade School Families,
I am writing to inform you that we have 2 students/staff who have tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the high number of students/staff who will need to quarantine, Bethel Grade School will begin remote learning for all students beginning on Thursday, October 29th. We anticipate returning to school on Thursday, November 12th.
All students in need will be sent home with a device and will be required to log on to Google Classroom during each school day. There may also be some paper materials coming home, but we are trying to keep that to a minimum. Your child's teacher will notify you of the schedule. Attending Google Meets through Google Classroom will be how attendance is taken each day. Devices and chargers must be returned to school on the first day back to in-person learning.
We know this is an inconvenience for many families, but it is necessary for the safety of all Bethel Grade School students, staff, and their families. The school will be deep cleaned during closure to ensure the entire building is cleaned and disinfected prior to students returning.
We will be providing breakfasts and lunches for all families interested during remote instruction days. Please contact the school at 244-8095 or by email at email@example.com by Friday, October 30 if interseted. We will have a pickup day on Monday, November 2 from 11:00-12:00 at the school kitchen doors (south end) or at Oak Grove Village.
This will be a learning process for both the students and the teachers, so please be patient and extend grace to everyone, just as we will do for your family.
Please call the school with any questions, 618-244-8095.
Craig Kujawa, Superintendent
